New Zealand government wants more Indian students and institutions buying their technical and professional education.

Increasing education exports to India will be a priority on New Zealand Prime Minister John Key’s agenda when he comes to India early July.

Already, the number of Indians studying in New Zealand has gone up nearly four times in the past five years to about 12,000.

Sports administration would be one of the key programmes that the New Zealand delegation will pitch to Indian students and institutes. IT would be another focus area.

The New Zealand delegation is expected to play on Indians’ safety concerns in Australia, a more popular education destination.
