India and Scotland Get Together for Higher Education
The Universities of Scotland and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) are collaborating for higher education. The two countries signed an agreement that aims at increasing student and faculty exchange programmes, more scholarships for Indian students wanting to study in Scotland, and more internships and collaborations in research and development.
![]() Scottish authorities said that the two countries will encourage joint degree development and help identify opportunities for enhanced funding to support institutional initiatives. A total of 14 Scottish universities and six special higher education institutions form the Universities of Scotland body, while 281 Indian universities form the AIU.
