Indian students heading to United Kingdom were briefed by the British Council through a teleconference on Friday, June 29, 2012 to address their concerns regarding correct visa procedure, Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS), biometrics, sponsors, information on work placements and other important documents to be submitted

The counseling session was held in 2 parts. The first part of the session briefed students about the  amount required in their bank accounts, documents required and permissible number of working hours while studying. Students attending the conference wanted to know about the dependents and documents needed to submit if they accompanied them.

Students were informed that they would be expected to show evidence of funding for their course and accommodation, apart from showing financial sponsorships and finances to cover living costs. The session was attended by students and their families.
