Q. Tell us about the prospects on completing a course in Aviation.

 Aviations courses helps in developing overall personality which includes their grooming,technical knowledge and other extra curricular activities. Grooming is the major aspect which is concentrated on as it just does not include makeup but also weight management, skin and hair care, dressing, attitude, walking style etc. Technical knowledge is not restricted to aviation only, hospitality and travel & tourism are other areas which are given equal importance. This gives students a wider exposure. Students can choose their career in any of these fields. For Example if a student do not meet the height criteria for cabin crew job, she/he can always join hotels or Tourism companies.

 Q. How an aspiring candidate should plan his/her career for joining aviation industry?

If you dream of becoming an air hostess, you should first complete your plus two and should have good command over English and Hindi language. Give special attention to your skin, hair & teeth.Weight has to be in proportion with your height. Even if you are working as an airhostess in domestic flight after plus two, continue your graduation as it will help you to progress in your career.

 Q. What prospects are available for boys, who wish to join aviation industry?

 The word is 'cabin crew' which is widely known as air-hostess, comprises of both male and female crew. Boys have the same career options as the females. They do the same job and earn the same money. Infact, it is mandatory for most of the international flights to have male cabin crew for their operations along with female crew.




Q. What are the best institutes that an aspirant should target for this vocational course?

Today the aspirants have wide range of choices to choose from but it is important to choose the best option. Certain points are always   to be kept in mind while choosing the institute are as follows:

1. University affiliation

2. Placement Record

3. Faculty

4. Practical  Exposure (If possible international)

5. Other Industry Exposure apart from Aviation.

 Q. What are the specialized courses available in the aviation sector?

 Normaly aspirants have an option of doing 6 months or 1 year diploma course or 3 years BBA in Aviation which focuses on Personality Development, English,Groomomg, Hospitality, Travel & Tourism , Cabin Crew Training and Ground Handling.

 Q. What are the prospects, with aviation industry facing so much because of recession?

 Aviation industry has always been prone to risk due to oil prices. Yes recession had affected the travel of people but now things are much better as we are recovering.  When Jet Airways was laying off crew, Indigo was hiring every month. International airlines like Emirates and Singapore airline have started their recruitment drive again after temporarily freezing it. So things are getting back on track. With Commonwealth on its way, even in India airlines are hopeful to get better business.

Q. Apart from communication skills, what is the quotient that is required to become successful in the field of aviation?

 Positive attitude, pleasant personality and ofcourse a smile. You need not be extremely pretty or handsome, you just need to be pleasant and presentable with no visible scars or pimples. You should meet the minimum height criteria and weight in proportion to it.If you are already a crew member then continue your studies if you desire to become a manager in your airline.
