This year the delay in Results of Calicut University has impacted the future of about 3000 final year students.

Due to the delay of Results students cannot apply for master degree courses in any college as most universities including Central Universities have already completed or are in the process of concluding postgraduate admissions.

Though the university had released the degree Results last week the students of CCSS (choice-based credit semester system) are yet to get their degree Results as the answer sheets of these students have been lost due to errors in the barcodes printed on them.

In the mean time 52000 private degree students who appeared for their final degree exams last month may lose 1 academic year as the university has not even began the correction of answer sheets.

The varsity is now taking all initiatives conduct the exam again for 3000 CCSS students and declare result before July 20, 2012 though it will involve huge amount of logistics and management.

A private degree student revealed that students had to deal with large number of uncertainties during the entire course.

Sources from the university revealed that it is taking all efforts to recognize the answer scripts of students who have not received their Results.

The university will open a centralized valuation camp for private students once it provides the marks card for CCSS students. Till now no deadline has been stipulated for declaration of degree course Results.
