Jamia Millia Islamia commences its admission process for 2012-13
The admission process for 2012-13 batches will start in Jamia Milia Islamia from Wednesday, March 28, 2012. The entrance exams for various programs will begin in the last week of May, 2012. This will be the first time when university will conduct semester based admission process for its undergraduate courses. The university has also introduced programs such as M.Tech (nanotechnology) and BA (H) Turkish from 2012.
The university sources revealed that all undergraduate programs will follow semester system from 2012 onwards. The prospectus will be available from March 28, 2012 while last date of registration and entrance test dates will vary for different courses. The application forms are available online on the official website of the university. Admissions will be done against 6500 seats in various postgraduate and undergraduate courses.
Admission to all courses besides those offered by the architecture and ekistics, faculty of engineering and technology and faculty of dentistry will be merit based, i.e. a written test and then an interview will be conducted. The entrance exam and interview will carry a weightage of 85% and 15% respectively. Eligibility criteria’s for each program/course will remain same for both international as well as Indian students. However 10% seats will be reserved for international candidates.
