Karnataka Pre-University Department has decided to introduce a set of online question banks with their answer keys for all subjects. The move has been taken to make the examinations stress free for students.
The question banks and solutions are available on websites of the department of PU education and the Examination Authority, www.kae.kar.nic.in / www.pue.kar.nic.in Scrutinized answer sheets of the toppers of different subjects of II PUC and CET 2011 will also be hosted on the website.
The online question bank is expected to remove the doubts of students on issues such as which textbook to refer for exams. These question papers are more of mock tests. The questions have been designed to check students’ strength in a particular subject. More than 90% syllabus of each subject has been covered in the online question banks.
The PU education department sources revealed that absence of official textbooks, too much dependence on tuitions and unavailability of helpful study material were some of the probable reasons that led the department to introduce online question bank.
