What is UPSEE 2016?

UPSEE 2016Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow now known as Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh has announced the exam dates for UP State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), which will be conducted in April 2016. The UPSEE for UG programs will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 & Saturday, April 23, 2016 and UPSEE for PG programs will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016.

UPSEE is conducted for taking to admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Bachelor of Hotel Management Catering Technology (BHMCT), Bachelor of Fashion & Apparel Design (BFAD), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Application (MCA), Masters in Applied Management (MAM) and lateral entry to B.Tech, B.Pharm and MCA programs offered in Govt.-aided institutions and private unaided institutions affiliated to UPTU, and some other state universities of Uttar Pradesh for the session 2016.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSEE 2016:

  • For B.Tech/B.Pharm programs: Candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board/University without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject and securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate in required three subjects.
  • For MBA Program: Candidate must have passed bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any recognized university of India or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level. 
  • For MCA lateral entry Program: Candidate must have passed bachelors degree course of three years minimum duration from any recognized Indian University; or its equivalent, recognized by A.I.U. securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate. Candidate must have passed Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level.

  • The entrance examination fee for UPSEE-2016 is Rs. 1000/- for male/transgender candidates of general & OBC category and Rs. 500/- for female candidates/ physically handicapped candidates of all categories and SC/ST candidates. 
  • The examination fee can be paid online only through credit card/debit card/net banking.

Important Dates:

  • Last date for filling and submitting the online application form: Sunday, March 27, 2016.
  • Date of downloading the admit card: Friday, April 08, 2016 onwards.
  • Date of UPSEE:
    • For UG programs (paper 1, 2, 3 and 4): Sunday, April 17, 2016.
    • For UG programs (paper 5, 6, 7 and 8): Saturday, April 23, 2016.
    • For PG programs: Sunday, April 24, 2016.
  • Declaration of result: on or before Monday, May 30, 2016.
