Bangalore's IPL Poor show
IPL , one of the most hyped up event in India turned down to be a flop show to the Bangalore's team. Vijay Mallya's team was not able to perform and show their mettle even at easier times. It seemed as though Vijay mallya's sole intension was to own the Bangalore team rather than making the team win . It is very clearly depicted in the way they played their matches.
Moreover the Bangalore team has now even earned a brand name as the IPL's Test 20 team , all thanks to Vijay Mallya and Dravid. I still am not clear on what basis did Mr Vijay Mallya auction for these players, was it that they were cheaply available or he did not have any idea about the T20 format. You can see all old players who have international fame as a test player in the Royal Challenger's team., Robin Uthappa being a kannadiga was not auctioned for. It was ridiculous to see Sunil Joshi in the squad who quit International cricket long long back. There were lot of ways in which the team could be handled like Dravid could keep behind the wickets and could make way for another International player like Misbah Ul Haq or Abdur Razzak by keeping Boucher out instead of shuffling between the same old players who were not able to deliver. i think its time for venkatesh Prasad to put on his thinking cap and come out with better strategies to help Royal Challenger's over come their defeats and move on..
For me , it seems to be a nightmare to watch Royal Challenger's lose almost every game, I used to scream when ever i was outside karnataka and shout that i am a Banglorean but now that seems tough.
