The Common Admission Test 2013 (CAT ’13) is now almost over with Day 18 of the test done and with only two days remaining in the 20 day long window period for the entrance exam. Day 18 of the test was held on Friday. The CAT 2013 has sections like Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI) as well as Verbal Ability (VA) and Logical Reasoning (LR).
While on Day 17, candidates who wrote the test had said that QA section was relative tough compared to other sections and even on Day 18, candidates mentioned that the Quant section was very tough to crack while the level of VA sections were relatively easy.
According to many candidates, the Quantitative Ability section contained high number of questions from Geometry. It was reported that the questions which frequently appear on topics such as Arithmetic, Trigonometry, Time Speed & Distance, Permutation and Combinations were ever present though some reported that the Number system was missing altogether.
For several takers of the test, the Data Interpretation part of the Day 18 sessions were relatively easy as most of them were based on bars ad pie charts. Coming on to the Verbal Ability section, most of them termed the section was easy. The section held questions mostly on reading Comprehension and rearranging the jumbled paragraph and also correcting the errors in a paragraph. The passages for reading Comprehension were reported to be easy without twist in the tale.
Finally the Logical Reasoning questions for the day was also termed as easy by the candidates as most of the questions seemed to be on relationship and circular arrangement. The Day 17 had also seen ten questions in the set, most of the questions were analytical type. The 20 day long test which began on Wednesday, October 16, will be concluded on November 11 and the Results are scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
