CAT ’13 has 2 sections-Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI) as well as Verbal Ability (VA) and Logical Reasoning (LR).

As per information provided by various candidates who wrote the test on Day 8, the QA and DI section was moderate. The remaining questions were from the familiar topics of Trigonometry, Arithmetic, Time, Speed and Distance, Mensuration, Number System, etc.

Several students claimed that the DI section was average in terms of difficulty, consisting of questions relating to Caselets, Venn Diagram and Pie Chart.

As per a majority of the candidates, the VA section was easy with many students being able to attempt almost all questions. The Verbal section consisted of questions covering the topics of Para Jumbles, Reading Comprehension (RC), Vocabulary, Identifying out of Context Sentences, Error Correction in Paragraph, etc. The passages, containing 600-650 words, were easy and had direct questions.
