Candidates aspiring to appear for the Common Admission Test ’2013 (CAT’ 2013) from the Seemandhra region in Andhra Pradesh will be offered an option to choose a later date to write the examination, as per Prometric, the testing firm responsible for CAT’ 2013. Due to the ongoing political unrest in the Seemandhra region, Prometric is expected to contact all the CAT’ 2013 aspirers who had selected either Vizag or Vijayawada as test centers, to reschedule CAT’ 2013 dates if needed, Prometric officials added.
As per a press release from Prometric, the option to reschedule the examination dates is being offered “in the interest of protecting the safety of all CAT candidates”. As per Prometric, candidates have the option to select a different location for writing the test as well such as Kolkata, Chennai, Bhubaneshwar or Bangalore.
Candidates have been advised to login to their respective CAT online profiles, get a printout of their updated admit card and carry the revised schedule on the day of the examination, as per Prometric.
CAT is an all-India test conducted by the premier Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as an entrance examination for the management programs offered by its business schools (B-schools) as well as other top Master of Business Administration (MBA) schools.
