The seat allotment result of the second extended round of counseling of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test 2014 (CET-K 2014) rank-holders has been announced at the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) website today, that is, Wednesday, July 23, 2014. The option entry for the second extended round of counseling was rescheduled to 1 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from the originally scheduled Monday, July 21, 2014 since new seats were added to the matrix, as per KEA.
Altogether 25 seats from Srinivasa Dental College in Mangalore and 420 from Reva Institute of Technology in Bangalore were added to the matrix. Hence the deadline for option entry for this round was extended.
According to the website, the allotment to Reva Institute of Technology is pursuant to the interim orders of the High Court and hence admissions will be subject to the same. Such candidates may be allotted seats in other colleges, if required.
The second extended round of counseling of CET-K 2014 candidates started on Thursday, July 17, 2014, with added medical seats. The date was revised from the originally scheduled date - Saturday, July 12, 2014, due to anticipation of more seats, as per KEA.
The second extended round was open to all candidates, barring candidates who had exercised Choice-1 in the first or second rounds. It was open to students who exercised Choice 2 or 3, who failed to secure seats in the first two rounds or did not enter options in the first two rounds. Candidates will not be able to exercise a further choice, once they are allotted a seat in this round.
