The national merit ranking has been prepared on the basis of the total score. If scores are same for more than one candidate, the ranking has been prepared based on sectional scores. If more than one candidate gets the same ranking, the same rank has been allotted to all of them but has been displayed by placing their names in the alphabetical order. The rank of the following candidate has then been extended by the number of added students with the same rank.
The Percentile has been calculated using the formula: Percentile P = ( (N - candidate rank)/ N) x 100 (Where P is percentile and N is total number of candidates who appeared for exam).
In CMAT February 2014, the maximum score was 317 out of 400.
CMAT September 2015-16 was held from Thursday, September 25 to Monday, September 29, 2014. Around 53,000 aspirants appeared for the test, according to officials of AICTE. The overall examination was of moderate level with no surprise elements, as per test-takers and academic experts.
The test had four sections, namely, Quantitative Technique (QT) and Data Interpretation (DI), Language Comprehension (LC), Logical Reasoning (LR) and Current/General Awareness (C/GA).
CMAT is conducted twice a year, in the months of September and February, to grant admissions for one academic session. Aspirants can appear for both the tests or one test, depending on their preference. The candidates are given two opportunities to appear in CMAT - first in September, 2014 and second in February, 2015. The better of the two scores will be used for admission for 2015-16.
