The year 2006, saw the first batch of BBM students being admitted while in 2008 , BCA and MBA programs were initiated. Understanding the demand for Information Technology and the growth potential in this area, ABBS has therefore incorporated this course under its flagship, thus offering its students the best facilities. Well equipped laboratories help enrich the practical concept of the related subjects and result in better understanding the concepts and the fundamentals. In the true spirit of our ancient Gurukul system, we aim at not only imparting knowledge and information to our students, but more importantly we seek to inculcate values, develop and mould the personality and character of our students. Academics undoubtedly are the backbone of our Institution, but the focus is also on other aspects in creating awareness and familiarity in the areas of event management, improve organizational skills, enhance leadership qualities and skills. The teaching methods are unique and innovative. Extensive case studies are used to make students analytical and to prepare them for the real life corporate challenges. Each student prepares a detailed presentation on a particular sector of the business. He or she just do not become well versed with the sector, when the same is presented in the class, the discussion followed would make every one know about that particular sector. Book reviews, quizzing, seminars, presentations are the other teaching methods used to involve students in teaching and learning process. The Marketing, The Finance and The HRM clubs make every one involve in the areas of his or her interest. We have succeeded in making teaching and learning process interesting and exiting. Every week in 'Knowledge series' an industry expert would come and give lecture on recent developments in industry. This is in addition to the workshops and seminars the department organizes from time to time. The department is aiming to prepare first-rate corporate citizens for the challenging world. About UsAcharya Institutes is managed by Samagra Sikshana Samithi Trust, which is solely dedicated to imparting professional education to all segments of society. There as many as 11 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses in various streams such as physiotherapy, nursing, medical lab technology, radiography, biotechnology, genetics, microbiology, management and computer science. At Acharya, other than imparting the prescribed curricula, various other augumented programmes become part of the students' life to ensure a holistic approach to education and prepare students to take the challenges head on . Through a team of committed and dedicated faculty , at Acharya , we believe in imparting education for a lifetime . In the year 2008 , as a testimony to our quality of education , Acharya Institute of Sciences one of the under Acharya Institutes was ‘Ranked 17th in the All India Biospectrum Survey of Top Private Biotech Schools, ’. The most glorious year in the history of Acharya Institutes was the year 2008 when Acharya Institutes developed its new campus at #3, Lingadheeranahalli, Off Magadi Road, Bangalore - 91 with state-of-the-art infrastructure .
