AUT Law School, Auckland University of Technology was established in 2009. The school meets all the New Zealand Council of Legal Education’s (CLE) educational requirements for admission as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and also satisfies the criteria laid down by the New Zealand Vice Chancellors’ Committee on University Academic Programs for courses of study and accreditation. It offers commercially focused electives such as Corporate Governance and Insurance Law as well as a wide range of other elective papers including Family Law, Employment Law, Sports Law, Wills and Estates and Media Law.
