Ajay Binay Institute of Technology, Cuttack was established in 1998. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Orissa. ABIT is today a landmark of the centenary city of Cuttack. However this landmark is the powerhouse of technical skills and academic prowess. It is one of the colleges of the ABIT Group of Institutions. There are 5 blocks and two campuses at Ajay Binay Institute of Technology Cuttack. Campus A of the institute houses architecture, engineering, MCA, MBA and the junior science college and campus B houses Industrial Training Institute (ITI).

ABIT has a dedicated training and placement cell for organizing campus recruitment and placement activities. This cell helps the students in career planning and assisting them during the pre and post placement activities. Seminars, Group Discussions, Mock Interview sessions and interactions with industry, Soft skills and job specific trainings are organized for the students to ensure their success during campus placements.
