Alagappa University, Karaikudi was established in 1985.The university is accredited with 'A' Grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. University has an employment cell and a placement officer. Apart from this, each department has placement coordinators to carry out the placement activities in an effective manner. Career counseling is also done by the faculty members and class advisors after understanding the needs of the students. Preparation of placement brochures, identification of possible recruiters, and coordination of placement activities are few of the activities of the University Placement Cell. Both off-campus and on-campus interviews are coordinated through this cell.
