Andhra University College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam, Visakhapatnam is the campus college of the University. When the College was formed, it had a Department of Engineering with Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering as the main branches. In 1960, the Engineering Department was shifted to the spacious North campus which spreads over 150 acres of land. The Department of Chemical Technology which was founded in 1933 was shifted to the same campus in 1962, which added strength to the Engineering Departments. The College of Engineering, Andhra University is an autonomous College of Engineering.
The Andhra University is one of the premier institutes for higher studies in India. It was established in 1926, and is located in Vishakhapatnam. The campus is surrounded by natural beauty and the whole area is just breathtaking. It has the Bay of Bengal on one side and the green Kailasgiri hill ranges to the other.
