Army Institute of Nursing, Guwahati was established on 2006. Army Institute of Nursing is one of the important colleges in the north eastern part of India. The institute is located in the premises of 151 Base Hospital located at Basistha, Gauhati. The institute is affiliated to Gauhati University, Gauhati, Assam. AIN holds the distinction of being recognized by the Indian Council of Nursing (INC). AIN is a constituent part of Army Welfare Education Society which is running 117 Army Schools and 12 professional colleges.
