B.C.Y.R.C. Umrer College of Engineering, Nagpur was established in 1999 under the Backward Class Youth Relief Committee. The college is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukodoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India, New Delhi.
