Bethune College, Kolkata was established in 1849 as Bethune School. The college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. It is accredited by NAAC at A Level. Bethune College is the first woman college in India. The College is affiliated to the University of Calcutta at the undergraduate degree course level.
