There are two colleges run by the Bhavan in Calcutta, undertaking Post Graduate Professional Courses. The Bhavans College of Communication and Management, SaltLake was started in May 1980. The academic year starts from July and ends in March next year and is divided into two terms July to October and November to March. The number of working days during the academic years approximately. All public holidays, as notified by the State Govt. are observed. Week-end holidays are Saturdays and Sundays. Classes are held between 6.30 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. in the evening. Students are awarded Bhavans Certificate in the appropriate course on successful completion of their studies. It has efficient infrastructure and facilities required for the training.
