Calicut University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Malappuram was established in 2001-2002. It is managed by and affiliated to the University of Calicut. The main campus is based at Tenhipalam in Malappuram district. Different departments, well equipped library, Audio Visual and Reprographic Center, Science and Instrumentation Centre, Guest House, Seminar Complex, Staff Quarters, and Hostels of students, working women etc. are functioning here. Extensive play grounds and gymnasiums are located in the campus.
The institute campus has an extensive area of 10 ha (25.17 acres). The necessary infrastructure facilities like water supply, hostels, canteens and play grounds are available in the campus

Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) is headed by the Placement
Officer who is assisted by student representatives from all the
departments. The Principal of the institution and all other faculty
members have extended their wholehearted support to the functioning of
the cell.
The objectives of the cell are :-
To place final year students in respectable organizations through campus recruitment.
To provide industrial training to students during their course of study.
To organize lectures, seminars, group discussions, mock interviews etc. for career guidance, entrepreneurship and personality development.
