Central University of Kerala (CUK), Kasaragod was established in 2009. In 2011-12, the School of Languages and Comparative Literature and School of Biological Sciences will prepare agreements to receive faculty from prestigious Universities and institutions abroad such as Texas Tech University (USA); University of California, Riverside (USA); Cleveland Clinic (USA); and University of Queensland (Australia). The Central University of Kerala is founded on the lofty aim of a ‘caring wisdom’ that aims at sensitizing present and future generations to the need for the enrichment of the individual, to the sustainable development of society, and to environmental harmony.
They are committed to the task of generating and disseminating knowledge in cutting edge areas of learning through innovative teaching/learning methodologies which ensure the maturation of individuals through physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth. The academic aim is enthused by the ideals of interdisciplinary, meaningful local-global interaction, ecological balance, and equilibrium of physical and spiritual faculties and to make special provisions for integrated courses in humanities, social sciences, science and technology in its educational programs. The objective of the university is to extend the scope of learning through a holistic methodology.

Scholarships at Central University of Kerala -
Based on the merit in the entrance examination, meritorious students will be awarded Scholarships linked to the program of study. All students admitted to the postgraduate program will get financial support in the form of merit scholarship or merit-cum-means scholarship or boarding and lodging allowance ranging from ` 1000 to `1500 per month. Free ships are also offered to deserving candidates. The continuation of the Scholarships depends on attendance and satisfactory performance.
