College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune was established in 1943 in Roorkee by British and later moved to Pune. The same institution was renamed as College of Military Engineering (CME) in 1971. The college is a premier institution which provides technical education to corps of Indian arm forces. College of Military Engineering provides training and education to corps of Indian army, navy, air-force, para –military services, police and also civilians (children of Indian army officers /employees). Foreign country students (which are allowed by Indian govt.) can also take admission in CME.
