Conservatoire Lassalle was established in 1906, in honour of an agreement signed with the New Theatre, the French actor Eugene Lassalle stood at Montreal with his wife Louise Doelling Landreau, also an actress. In 1929 to 1972, the Conservatoire Lassalle became a school affiliated with the University of Montreal. Students who have completed the course of four years focused on mastering the drama and oratory received a university degree then allowing them to obtain a teaching certificate recognized throughout Quebec.
In 1972, at the suggestion of the same Ministry of Education, the institution created a new college program, Science Word doing theatre and communication subjects taught at the Conservatoire Lassalle since its foundation the specific elements of an original and unique in Quebec.
Scholarship for students –
The Conservatoire Lassalle scholarship recognizes the work of a former CEO, great communicator and teacher, constantly concerned with the defence and the quality of the French language. The scholarship, in the amount of $ 1000 is awarded to the student who has maintained the highest grade point average during the second year of enrolment in December of Arts and Letters.
The college’s placement services offers various services for the students like resumes and cover letters, interview tips and mock interviews, on-campus job fairs, identifying job opportunities and identifying career positions.
