Dayanand Science College, Latur was established in 1961.The college is affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University and accredited by NAAC with B++ grade. The college is not only providing education in basic and applied subjects but also pays attention to the current innovative approaches towards the higher education. Besides imparting education for formal degree and post graduate degree education, the college is offering short term one year career oriented certificate courses under career oriented program of University Grants Commission.
The aim of the college is to impart higher education in science to the students of rural area region and to promote the activities that are necessary for the welfare and overall development of the student. The objective of the institute is to help the needy and economically weaker student in education and to inculcate discipline, sincerity and devotion among the students to make them most responsible and respectable citizens of India.
