Message for Students: At this institute, students and faculty experience an open ended and free flowing academic and professional environment of intellectual enquiry, technological studies, extra-curricular activities and self-development. All of us open all avenues to suit the needs, requirements and ambitions of every student entering the portals of this institute. Mr. A.K Dhawan Admission Procedure & EligibilityThe admission to the institute is done in accordance with the provision and guidelines laid down by the competent authority of the government of Haryana from time to time. B.TECH Eligibility: The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from recognized Board/University with physics & mathematics & Chemistry/Computer science/information science/Biotecnology/Biology B.TECH (LEET) Eligibility: The candidates should have passed either of the following: Diploma in Engineering/Technology for duration of 3 years(after Secondary ie 10th) from State Board Of Technical Education,Haryana or its equivalent OR Diploma in Engineering/Technology for duration of 2 years(after Sr.Secondary or10+2) from State Boarc of Technical Education, Haryana or its equivalent OR Bachelor in Science(B.SC) Degree for duration of 3 years, with mathematics as one of the subjects.

Eligibility: The candidate should have passed in Secondary Examination(10th standard) with compulsory subjects(English,Math, Physics & Chemistry)from State Board of School Education,Haryana or equivalent from a recognized Board/university InfrastructureThe Central Library: The institute has an impressive, fully air conditioned, rich and well stocked library with a collection of more than 6000 books on different engineering subjects. A number of National and International Journals, Magazines, News Papers etc have also been included to keep the students abreast of the latest advancement and developments in the field of engineering technology. A spacious reading room and reference section with extensive reading material related with Literature, Motivation, and Fiction etc. are also made available. Class Rooms:
The institute has huge and spacious Fully Air Conditioned classrooms which can comfortably accomodate large number of students. All the rooms are well lit and well ventilated, modernized classrooms which have reading and discussions facilities. These facilities create an ideal atmosphere well suited for teaching-learning process. Computer Zone: The college has fully equipped Air Conditioned computer centre with state-of -the-art high definition computers, LCD monitors, DVD writers, multimedia facilities, laser printers, scanners, photocopier, campus-wide network-LAN and Broadband Internet facility. Licensed multi-user versions of required software have been installed for the students. The institute has a state-of-the art fully Air-Conditioned and perational computer zone which is well equipped with more than 100 Dual Core Pentium-IV Computers with LCD monitors & latest application softwares. The computer zone offers round the clock high speed internet connectivity and a well structured LAN Connectivity. The Campus is Wi-Fi enabled and allows the users to access the internet On The Move as well. The College is registered for MSDN Academic Alliance for all Microsoft Products and their updates, and the software are provided to all departments, students and faculty members. The college intends to setup Digital System Design/ VHDL Lab using and XILINX-ISE / Altera- Quartus /Lattice tools for the designing, simulation, synthesizing and Implementing multiple digital circuits on various CPLDs, FPGAs like Spartan3,Spartan 3A, Virtex- 4,Viretx 5, Virtex 6, etc. A Tanner's complete Tools/Suite for Schematic Capturing, Designing, Implementing, Fab Design (Chip Layout) and Simulation for Digital as well as Analog system will also be provided to the students in due course of time. Labs & Workshops:
DEC has state of the art laboratories, equipped with latest ultra modern equipments and instruments as well as most modern software for different departments, like Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Mechanical, Applied Sciences etc, as per the requirements of each course. In addition, a central workshop covering 10,000 sq. ft. of area is also maintained to provide Hands on training to the students in areas like machine shop, welding, fitting, carpentry, sheet metal, fluid mechanics, SOM Lab, UTM machine etc. All these laboratories are used to instruct the students and carry out prescribed practical's to complement classroom learning. Students have access to this excellent facility, complemented by twenty-four hour Internet connectivity. The resources and facilities of all of DEC labs are befitting the excellent reputation and standards set by the Institute. They provide an efficient and effective support to students in their pursuit of academic excellence Cafeteria / Canteen A hygienic and well-maintained canteen is provided for all students and staff within the campus including Vegetarian, Chinese and South Indian. Beverages are also available to beat the heat. Hostels We understand and consider the Hostels as 'Home Away Home' and so all arrangements have been made to ensure the stay of the interested students as comfortable as possible. Separate Hostels for Girls and Boys are available for the interested students, with the facilities like Caring and Responsible Wardens, caretakers , security guards (24*7), Emergency power back-up, Pure drinking water from R.O plants, Geyser etc. The hostel mess is equipped with modern appliances that serve pure vegetarian, nutritious and hygienic food All students are expected to abide by the hostel rules. FacilitiesSports, Games and Cultural Activities The management of DEC believes in the overall growth of each student. For this purpose students are encouraged to participate in outdoor and indoor games and activities like debates, quizzes, dramas, singing, etc. Excellent facilities are provided in the campus for outdoor games like football, volleyball, basket ball, badminton etc. as well as for indoor games like table tennis, caroms, etc. Indoor-Outdoor Games Facility Students are encouraged to get involved in various indoor and outdoor games in their free time. Various games like chess, carom board, Table Tennis etc. along with certain outdoor games like Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Cricket etc. have been available in the college campus. Guest Lectures At DEC, we believe that the Interaction and discussion with the eminent personalities from various MNCs, Industries, Management Institutes, and Research Institutes etc will bring the latest Technical and Management practices to the doorsteps of students. Towards this, DEC Organizes various Guest Lectures/sessions from the renowned personalities from various Institutes like IIT Delhi, Thapar University-Patiala, Punjab Engineering College-Chandigarh, Regional Engineering College - Kurukshetra etc as well as from Industries Like Tata Group, Sapient, Maruti, Freescale, HCL, ST Microelectronics, Nokia, Samsung, Vodafone, BEL, etc. In addition, certain sessions from the Personals who had worked for Indian Defense - Indian Navy, Army, Air Force , DRDO , ISRO etc are also being regularly organized in the campus. Industrial Visits The College has always delivered excellence in all facets and we strongly believe that the globalized world requires engineers who can effectively and efficiently function in a multi-cultural environment and are sensitive towards the ever changing social and cultural environment. In order to have a better understanding of organizational culture and industrial processes, various industrial visits are organized for students.
