Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh was established in 1965 under the provisions of the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965 enacted by the Assam Legislative Assembly. The University is the easternmost University of India. It is a teaching-cum-affiliating University with limited residential facilities. The University is always striving to produce better individuals with right interests, attitude, moral and intellectual values. They are helping the students to develop their knowledge, skills, competence and attitude to use them for growth and prosperity of the society.

Placement Cell at Dibrugarh University -
Dibrugarh University has a full-fledged training and placement cell and it is an integral part of the University. The training and placement cell is committed to provide all possible assistance to its graduates and post graduates in their efforts to find employment. It is headed by training and placement officer and is well supported by both faculties as well as student placement coordinators from various departments and centres for studies.
The training and placement facilitation at Dibrugarh University is a year round activity to facilitate contacts between organizations and students.
