Sadguru Gadge Maharaj College (SGMC), Karad was established in 1954. The college has been accredited to NAAC with ‘A’ grade, affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur and recognized by the UGC under section 2 F of the UGC Act. The aims and objectives of the college is to develop collection of reading material useful for various courses, to provide various library services and facilities to the readers, to support research activity for its progress and qualitative development and to preserve and conserve the collection of reading material in the library. Their vision is to quality education to all, especially the rural, semi-rural, and socio-economically deprived students to make them self reliant.
