Dyal Singh Evening College, Delhi was established in 1959 managed under Dyal Singh College Trust. Dyal Singh College is a foremost college of Delhi. The college is a constituent part of the University of Delhi, which is also known as DU. The evening college offers undergraduate degree courses in Arts and Commerce stream. The College provides an opportunity to those who cannot attend day time classes. The evening courses are recognized equivalent to the regular day time courses. Dayal Singh College, which started functioning as a constituent college of the University of Delhi, came under the administrative control of Delhi University in 1978, as a University maintained college. The College derives their name from one of the greatest philanthropist and education enthusiast of their time, Sargar Dyal Singh Majithia.
