Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai established in 1948, was born out of the dream and vision of Shri. V.L. Ethiraj, an eminent lawyer and renowned philanthropist. It was established with a commitment to provide quality education to women with strong emphasis on values and tradition and with the singular mission of empowering women. The vision of the college is to achieve economic and social equity for women through advancement and application of relevant knowledge.

The placement cell is an institutional arrangement in the college whose service is primarily extended to secure full time jobs to the final year student’s community. The placement cell provides information regarding higher education in India and abroad, job opportunities available in the market through its notice board, emails and brochures. It also extends its services by offering various trainings to the students on personality development and career development skills, etc.

The placement cell of Ethiraj College has been assisting the students in paving a way to their career since 1998.
