Faculty of Dentistry, University of Otago established in 1907 is the only Faculty and School of Dentistry in New Zealand. It forms an integral part of the Division of Health Sciences within the University of Otago in Dunedin. It offers programs in all branches of Dentistry, Dental Therapy, Dental Hygiene, Dental Technology and Clinical Dental Technology.
The School offers excellent facilities for postgraduate training and is developing programs for all professional groups in dentistry who wish to continue their education and obtain further qualifications. The School serves as a teaching hospital for the people of Dunedin and the surrounding community. The Faculty has an international reputation for clinical and research excellence.

UniCol is famous for its extensive social and activity calendar. The students' executive and the University College staff organize a varied program of social events during the year, beginning with a packed calendar during orientation week. Themed parties, the annual ski trip, the UniCol Ball and sporting and cultural interchanges with other colleges all feature on the University College yearly calendar.
