Law School, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi was established in 1921, is one of the top 25 Law Schools in India including National Law Schools. The School is affiliated to the Banaras Hindu University. The innovative scheme of the Law School to reform the legal education was adopted by the Bar Council of India at the national level and brought changes in the pattern of legal education all over the country. It was established as part of the of Banaras Hindu University as Faculty of Law, later the it was renamed in to Banaras Law School and has constantly played a significant role in revamping the legal education and is ranked within top ten Law Schools in India including National Law Schools.
The Banaras Law School is a pioneer institution of legal education in India with an excellent team of teachers and a selected students body, stressing individual attention and extensive as well as intensive study and thereby carrying further the all important task of educational renaissance in the country in a manner befitting the monumental efforts of the founder of the University, Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya ji.
