Delhi University (DU) has started its placement drive for this academic year. Students still have 2 months to graduate and a good number of them have already been placed. Colleges affiliated to DU have expressed happiness over the good start and expect the current economic crisis does not cloud the placement season. Many popular Delhi University (DU) colleges such as Kirori Mal and Ramjas and the off-campus Gargi are still left with vacant seats in general category. The courses having vacancies include BCom (honours), BCom and BA (H) history, economics and English. Ramjas College has sought permission from the registrar to fill the vacancies. DU fifth cut-off list expected; many colleges reopen admissions

Popular colleges such as Hindu, Shri Ram College of Commerce and Miranda House reopened admissions to much sought-after courses such as BA (honours) economics after the release of fourth cut-off list on Friday, July 6, 2012. Many colleges are moving to these reputed colleges as large number of candidates withdrew after the release of 4 th cut-off list. Kirori Mal College witnessed about 16 withdrawals in economics, admission to which was closed after the second cut-off list.
