Goa College of Engineering (GCE-Goa), Farmagudi was established in 1967 for providing technical manpower initially in the fields of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The college is approved by AICTE and is funded by Government of Goa. All the courses offered by the college presently affiliated to Goa University. The college is the renowned Government Engineering Institutions of its kind in the state of Goa.
The college has been maintaining good performance in academics, cultural, sports and consultancy areas for the last many years and is comparable to the best colleges in this part of the country. The college has revised and updated the course contents and laboratory equipments from time to time to keep pace with the changes in technology and in meeting the growing needs of the industry.
The vision of the institute is to set high academic standards in Engineering education and research and accomplish the goal. The mission of the institute is to establish high quality engineering programs in partnership with other eminent institutes of national importance and train students to become leaders and managers of technology with academic excellence.
