College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP) established in 1854, is a nationally respected leader in technical education. The main aim of the college is to provide suitable instruction for subordinate officers in the Public Works Department.
COEP offers nine UG and twenty-three PG programs, and has more than 3200 students enrolled in its various courses. The vision of the college is to be a leader amongst engineering institutions in India, constantly pursuing excellence, and offering world class education with values. The Institute was selected as a Lead Institute for the TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Program) project of the Government of India through national competitive bidding. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) is a premier engineering entrance exam which is conducted by Government of Maharashtra every year. Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MT-CET) is held for those candidates who want to take admission into Pharmacy and Engineering programs offered at undergraduate level in government/government aided and private colleges across the state of Maharashtra.

The placement cell at College of Engineering is handled by training and placement cell. Italso offers its students training to face the job interviews and group discussions which students are expected to go through. Around 100+ companies visit COEP for conducting recruitments; there is a policy of offering two jobs to any/every student.
