Government College for Women (GCW), Srinagar was established in 1950. The college is affiliated to University of Kashmir, recognized by UGC and accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC. It is a premier institution of Higher Learning for women in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The college has a glorious past with excellent academic track record and has played a pivotal role for women education and empowerment in the state.
