Harcourt Butler Technological Institute(HBTI) Kanpur is one of the leading science and technology institutes of India. HBTI Kanpur can trace its origins to Government Research Institute, Cawnpore, which was established in 1920. The institute was renamed as Government Technological Institute in 1921. In 1926, the institute acquired its present name and came to be known as Harcourt Butler Technological Institute.
Campus:- HBTI Kanpur is spread on a campus of 348 acres divided into two parts, east campus (77 acres) and west campus (271 acres), situated 3 km apart.
