Hindustan Institute of Engineering Technology (HIET), Chennai was established in 1966 run by the Hindustan Engineering Training centre (HETC) Educational society and registered as a Technical Education Society. The institute is approved by AICTE, Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India. The Institution has trained engineers and technicians in many disciplines of Engineering. It is well equipped with workshops and laboratories. HIET is widely recognized in the Asian and African continents as a premier technical institution.
