IBS, Ahmedabad has come a long way since inception in 1995. IBS, Ahmedabad has reached its present position of eminence by ensuring academic rigor, encouraging faculty and student development, and actively promoting industry interaction/interface. The Government of Gujarat announced that a bill would be introduced in State Assembly for the establishment of private universities. A letter of intent (LOI) was issued to that effect by the Government in February 2009.
IBS Ahmedabad may become a constituent of the proposed University in Gujarat, subject to completion of legal formalities. Land acquisition is in progress for development of new campus. Construction activity may start in 2010 subject to obtaining necessary approvals.
