Indian Institute of Bankers & Finance (IIBF), Mumbai was established in 1928 as a company under section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1913. The IIBF was formerly known as The Indian Institute of Bankers (IIB), is a professional body of banks, financial institutions and their employees in India. IIBF is a ‘distance learning’ institute. The Institute is managed by a governing council comprising eminent persons from the banking and finance sector, academicians and professionals. IIBF is collaborated with various eminent Institutes in India and across the globe. The Institute has started offering Leadership development, faculty development and other courses in the new premises.

The institute has shifted to its new premises at Kohinoor City, Kurla. The new campus has two floors of which one floor has been exclusively earmarked for training purposes. State of the art training infrastructure has been created to offer class room training for the examinations of the Institute and also niche areas.
