Indian Institute of Management, Raipur was inaugurated by Dr. Raman Singh, Honbl’e Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh in October 11, 2010. The programme is designed to impart high quality management education and create outstanding leaders who will serve the society with potency and zest. They are striving to bring a global perspective to all its programmes and activities in a fast changing global economic environment. The Institute will encourage appropriate mix of overseas exposure for its students, which will help them to assimilate management practices and understand the importance of cross-cultural issues in managing the business, trade and industry and benefit state in enhancing industrial base. The Institute shall also focus on courses which would help fast growth of the region.
Campus :-
Presently IIM Raipur operates from the Government Engineering College Campus, Sejbahar, Raipur. The Government of Chhattisgarh has identified 200 acres of land for the proposed IIM Raipur campus in naya Raipur. The proposed campus will be a state-of-the-art campus presenting a blissful mix of modern architecture, culture & heritage of Chhattisgarh. The activities on the campus often extend late into the evenings. They have lectures even on weekends to compensate for the delayed start. Breaks in between sessions are utilized to conduct club events. The myriad events organized by clubs vary from business quizzes, testing marketing skills to chess competitions.
