About Us

Indus Business Academy (IBA) was established in the year 2001 at Bangalore & subsequently at Greater Noida in the year 2006 with the aim of providing world class management education focusing on skill building and employability of the youth.

The promoters of the institute strongly feel that there is urgent need to provide industry relevant management education to address the severe skill deficit & to effectively address the challenge of Employability. The world is facing severe skills deficit. There is no dearth of talent. The challenge is of getting talent that meets the need of corporate world. In other words, the challenge is that of employability. U.S.A. the world's largest economy is to-day considering proposals to overhaul education system due to rising skills gap. India, a relatively smaller economy with much bigger workforce faces a deeper crisis, perhaps far deeper than any other Nation in the world. Its demographic trends (300 million new workers by 2025), its archaic educational system (barely 9-10% of graduates are employable), its economic structure-agriculture contributes 18% to GDP & employs 56% work force) makes the crisis painful & difficult. We have a deskilling economy without a re-skilling work force. A degree-driven Indian Society treats education as a proxy for skill levels. This creates strong demand-supply gap.

Infrastructure

Bengaluru Campus

The Bengaluru campus symbolises what the city stands for. While its 8.5 acres (34,398 Sq. Mts) lush greenery reflects the 'Garden City', its hi-tech environment lives up to the 'Silicon Valley' tag. Located in the most happening Southern part - the Knowledge and IT Corridor of Bengaluru, it catalyses the industry-interface and academic inflow. The setting also charges the emotional quotient of the students, thanks to the proximity to the world famous AOL International Centre.

Greater Noida Campus

The Greater Noida campus is situated in the most happening place in the NCR. The sprawling 5.5 acres (22,257 Sq. Mts) campus in the 'Knowledge Park III' is set amidst giants in the Electronics industry, Information Technology industry and Manufacturing (LG Electronics, Yamaha, Moserbaer, etc.) Perfectly in sync with the modern day development that Greater Noida is, the IBA campus is contemporary in architecture with extensive use of technology in its design and structure.

Infrastuctural facilities at both the Bangalore & Greater Noida Campus

IBA campuses have a distinctive atmosphere where the emphasis is on teamwork, cooperation, and friendly competition.Classrooms are designed such that they lead to students developing closer relationships with each other and faculty members. Students work together in study groups and are genuinely supportive of one another, and form professional relationships that last long after graduation.

Classrooms & Boardrooms

Both the campuses have Multimedia enabled Theatre-style classrooms, Tutorial Workshop Centres and Boardrooms with OHP, DLP/LCD projectors to accentuate the learning experience.

IBA's Intellectual Capital

Library has a separate section devoted to publications by IBA faculty constituting IBA's intellectual capital.

IT Facilities

Stable and high-speed connectivity to the Internet ensures speedy access and the campus is completely connected with WiFi network. A laptop is compulsory for all the students. IBA has a State-of-the-art facility for students where they can access, download, research, prepare notes and presentation material through databases in the digital libraries subscribed by IBA. This is in line with the facilities provided by International Business Schools.

The IT facilities include Microsoft Campus agreement for all the Laptops carried by Faculty, staff and students.

Knowledge Resource Centre

The library is open round the clock for the students and subscribes to leading management journals such as Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, etc. Case studies are an integral part of IBA's management course, hence the library has a large database of case studies on different aspects of management, selected from leading journals. This facilitates deeper reading and research. A separate Audio/Video media room with a DVD player is provided in the library for students to explore various aspects of management. Students have the option of either utilizing the audio/visual material stocked in the library or bringing in material from other sources. The library has institutional memberships with premier libraries such as British Council Library and Indian Institute of Management - Bangalore,NICMAN of IIM A thereby allowing expanded access to knowledge resources.

Accommodation

Both the Campuses provide in-campus exclusive residential facilities for boys and girls with round-the-clock security. Considering the comfort and needs of students both the campuses has various options for residents like double rooms, triple rooms, single rooms with attached and common bathrooms. The first year students are provided with twin/triple occupancy and second year students are given single occupancy (on first come first serve basis). Functionally furnished, each room has a cot, study desk with chair and a built-in wardrobe. Laundry, STD / ISD, General store are within Campus. IBA's completely Vegetarian Mess adjacent to the residences serves hygienic food to its residents. Vegetarian break-fast, lunch and dinner on an annual subscription basis is provided. Accommodation for participants who do short term MDP/training program is provided in the campus.

• Students with Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks are eligible to apply.
