About ITM

In founding ITM, Dr. P.V. Ramana envisioned that ITM would not be a single location Business School, rather a network of several Business School campuses that provided the ITM Quality of Management Education in major cities across India. ITM is at heart, an Entrepreneurial operation- established as a result of the commitment to the Ideal that a private, non-aided business school could survive and thrive in the mostly regulated environment of education in India. In that venture, ITM has achieved the status of a Pioneer among private business schools in India.

Started by Dr. P.V.Ramana ,Chairman of ITM Group f Institutions , ITM has today gained tremendously in size and recognition, with thousands of Alumni and over 5.500 students enrolled in its programs offered at campuses all across India. It has been quick to expand it's footprint since inception, establishing a campus in Navi Mumbai in 1991, Bengaluru in 1992, Chennai in 1993,Warangal in 1994, Hyderabad and Mumbai in 2011.

The ITM PGDM Evolution

Over the years, the ITM PGDM has evolved into an intense, demanding program that has launched the careers of thousands of business professionals in India and the world over. Some of our alumni have attained top positions at companies across the spectrum. In fact, most of our older alumni are all CXOs or successful entrepreneurs.

The ITM PGDM currently offers between 36 to 42 courses over a two year program schedule. Delivering a number of courses across various subject areas has been the foundation of the ITM PGDM program in the last ten years. As the world of business and technology collided, the complexity of the business environment demanded aspiring managers to be more knowledgeable in wide array of areas.

But the business environment has only become more complex. Technology, economics and market dynamics are deeply entwined. Today's business manager is required to assimilate torrents of information and data, develop actionable insights at lightning speed and perform as part of large teams, often spread across geographies and time zones. With this increasing complexity, managers are no longer distanced from customers- everyone in an organization, regardless of position and role, is now a salespersonand customer service associate.

Essentially, the sheer mass of business knowledge and technological progress has overtaken the capability of any MBA program. At ITM, we realize the implication of this on how we teach and develop our students. Since it's rollout in 1991 the ITM PGDM has always challenged its strategic intent as a product in the Higher Education Market, redefining its value proposition, taking cognizance of the very demanding market it caters to through:

Introducing the ITM PGDM iConnect program
When we say "Radically different" we really mean it! We have completely redesigned the ITM PGDM program, literally from the first day-first class right up to convocation day.

• We've removed all the existing courses and replaced them with brand new, completely re-written courses, focused on the skill-sets you need NOW and the know-how you will need in your career future.
• We've taken the usual 2-month summer project and expanded it into an integral part of the iConnect concept.
• We've stretched the last-minute placement training into a full-blown professional and personal development experience.
• We've left nothing untouched in developing, what we believe is, one of the most radically different PGDM programs any b-school offers in India.

The ITM PGDM iConnect program is a two-year full-time program, with a completely redesigned program schedule, curriculum, internship and training process. The program is no longer formatted on a trimester or semester pattern- rather a set of discrete terms of study, industry immersion and applied research that takes students through a developmental journey from inexperienced fresher to corporate-ready manager. Here's how it all starts:

1. The Initialization
Starting with a short pre-term startup session, you will be allotted your program specialization at the beginning of the program, based on your choice and a career assessment test that will help you decide what specialization suits your profile. Once this is done, you will be assigned into a cohort of students who will remain together throughout the program duration. With this, the first academic term of the program commences. This term, called "The Initialization" is of six months duration and delivers a set of 8 courses, which include core courses and specialization courses.

The Insight Sessions
In parallel, you will begin a journey towards an enduring and rewarding career through the Insight Sessions. Insight is a range of workshops, seminars, field experiences and other sessions that will prepare you in ways that an academic program cannot- challenging you to build your attitudes, holistic management, character building, communication skills, analytical capabilities and more. Finally, you will engage in a co-curricular NGO/CSR live project with an NGO, NPO or Charitable Association to build your sensitivity to the harsh realities of the real world and understand what it means to be socially responsible.

2. The iConnect Core
Next comes the radically different part of the ITM PGDM program, the iConnect Core. iConnect Core is a 6-month industry immersion, but its designed to be much more than an extended summer project or internship. As part of a student team, you will be placed with companies to work on specific projects, and to support functional teams within the company and in the field. ITM faculty members, who will be embedded alongside you at the internship company will provide guidance and insight. They will support your work at the company, and will also mentor and train you when you are back in the classroom.

The Regroup Sessions
iConnect Core is designed to integrate industry and academics into a seamless experience. To make this happen, iConnect Core is structured to accommodate a set of 1 week academic interventions, called the Regroup Sessions, for every 4 weeks spent working full-time with the project company. During these 5 one-week “Regroup” sessions, students will attend one very intensive full-time course each week. In addition, each student’s performance of the last 4 weeks will be assessed via feedback from the Internship Manager and the embedded faculty.

Note: In some cases, based on project/company requirements, up to two Regroup Sessions may
be clubbed to give you an uninterrupted 8 weeks of industry immersion.

The entire industry immersion, including the Regroup Sessions will be subject to concurrent evaluation by both the faculty and the project company, and will determine your overall performance in the ITM PGDM iConnect program.

3. The Consolidation
Once iConnect Core is completed, you will take up the next full-time academic term, called ‘The
Consolidation’ from July - December 2013. In this session, you will take 6 advanced courses to
complete your specialization focus and a second tranche of the Insight Sessions, designed to prepare for final placement. Final placement begins in October with recruiting companies coming onto campus for Pre-Placement Talks and short listing of candidates.

4. The Capstone
The final session of the ITM PGDM iConnect is The Capstone. True to its name, The Capstone
is a real-world multi-disciplinary project taken up by teams of students, designed challenge their
understanding of the various courses taught in the preceding terms and their proficiency in business analysis and strategy.

5. Reconnect
The Radically Different ITM PGDM ends with a life-long connection to the people who have made your experience so enriching, as you pursue your ambitions and professional goals. As an Alum of the ITM Group, you will get numerous opportunities to reconnect with your cohort and your  faculties and help to extend the iConnect experience far beyond the boundaries of your business education. Besides, through our EEC programs that are offered all over India, you are always linked in with hundreds of executives across all functions in many corporations across India.

International Study Term from May-Jul 2013

Study Term Abroad for Navi Mumbai Students

The focal point of the program is the 3-month intensive program that starts with an induction model and foundation course along with a two day seminar on personal growth followed by a 10 to 12 weeks European Study Term. The program takes students to France and Hungary to be trained by international faculties and directly exposed to the realities of business operations in the EU and Eastern Europe.

In Budapest, Hungary, where the group attends a customized “Doing business in Europe” program conducted by Group ESSCA, a Grande Ecole institution. The Budapest Summer Program focuses on the nuances of business practices in Central and Eastern Europe through company visits, interactions with executives from top corporate organizations and intensive classroom interaction with international faculties.

Next on to EM Normandie, France the group attends a “Doing Business in Western Europe” program.

The objectives of the study term are:

• To acquire competencies and experience in European business environment.
• To understand cultural contrast between North and South Europe in a business context.
• Conduct a project based on European industry and economy at the end of 4 weeks.

The innovative programs of ITM Institute of Financial Markets (ITM-IFM) are Post Graduate Diploma in Management: Financial Markets (PGDM-FM) and Exe PGDM, both the programs are approved by AICTE and offered only at the ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai. CRISIL graded our course PGDM: FM as A* in Maharashtra & A at Pan-India level.

The Financial Markets program was launched in 2004 to fulfill the demand within the Financial Markets for individuals having superior knowledge of financial instruments, their valuation and trade including Equity and Debt, Research, Scientific Asset Allocation Process, Portfolio Hedging & Foreign Currencies. The program enables students to develop a framework for Fundamental & Technical Analysis to evaluate alternative investment avenues and maximize returns with minimum risks.

In addition, the program trains students to clear global certification programs such as the NCFM Capital Market Module, International Investment Management and Derivative Module from CISI UK, the FPSB CFP program and the APRM certification from PRMIA.

Under the iConnect Core, Financial Markets program students will undergo an extended industry immersion with leading BFSI sector companies, developing deep insights into the working of Financial Markets and the economics behind them.

What makes the Financial Markets program unique is the live Business Simulation Lab that forms the center- piece of this program. This Business Simulation Lab gives our students the ability to hone their trading and analytical skills in a realistic market environment, using the very same software and tools that are in use at  modern dealing rooms the world over.

Eligibility Criteria

Bachelors Degree from any AIU recognized University with minimum 50% marks aggregate. Final year students may also apply. ITM accepts the CAT, XAT, MAT,CMAT, GMAT & State CET Tests.

Selection Process

Short-listed candidates will be called to attend the Interview Process through the course of several selection rounds, commencing in March 2012. Call-letters for the Interview Process are sent through courier, post and e-mail. In considering a candidate for admission, ITM look at his/her complete profile, including:
