Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), Ropar, is one of the premier institutes for technical education in the state of Punjab. Affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar, the college provides various courses at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Government of Punjab have given their approval to IET Bhaddal, in order to conduct its courses.

Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Bhaddal came into being in 1997, when it was established by Kandi Friends Educational Trust, located in Mohali. The institute's first batch of students was enrolled into a temporary location in Mohali. Later on, the college was shifted to its present location. Spread over an area of 60 acres of land, IET Bhaddal ensures high standards in the education imparted by it and this is the reason why it provides excellent facilities to its students.
