Institute of Molecular Biosciences, Massey University is a very diverse Biological Sciences Institute with a strong research focus on cell and molecular Biology. There is a vibrant interdisciplinary research culture within the Institute. There are excellent research facilities available in the Institute including 'state of the art' facilities for Microscopy (MMIC), DNA Sequencing and Structural Biology. The Institute supports five Science majors: Biochemistry, Genetics, Plant Biology, Microbiology and Biological Sciences.
Institute of Molecular Biosciences is located on the Manawatu campus of Massey University located in Palmerston North, New Zealand. The Manawatu campus has two sites:
- Turitea - Renowned for its beautiful park-like setting of huge trees and attractive gardens.
- Hokowhitu - On the city side of the Manawatu River, near the lagoon.
