At JICM, Bhopal we believe that Industry Interface is a decisive differentiator for a communication management institution. Compounding the conventional methods of industry interaction through guest lectures, certified workshops, seminars, industrial visits etc, JICM Bhopal involves students in real life projects in both rural & urban environments. Our students have registered a regular presence at Goa Ad-fest over the past couple of years allowing them to share common space with communication industry leaders and pioneers. Industry weeks are a regular feature where one-to-one interaction of every student with industry is promoted leading to enhanced learning and increased placement opportunities.
USP'S of JICM
Summer Internship: Each student of Post Graduate would undergo a summer internship of 8-10 weeks after completion of year 1 as part of their course.
This internship gives students the right balance between theory and practice by providing opportunities within industry in the field one is interested. It also helps students to choose the specialization in the year 2.
Rural Project: For the PGDM-C course, students go for a rural project into various villages to understand the buying patterns in that market. It helps students understand the kind of medium which is used to inform the masses about any product there.
Live Project: Apart from the other two this project provides students with exposure of working with real clients and understanding how exactly an agency or brand functions. This is an essential part of PGDM-C course as it gives a trial or an experience of how their professional lives from there on would be.
Placements: From all the above projects JICM ensures confidence in each student through regular practice of working in the industry. The chances of getting hired increase due to these projects.
