K.J. Somaiya College of Science and Commerce, Mumbai was established in 1959. It is a constituent and affiliated non-government aided college under the auspices of the Somaiya Vidyavihar. It is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to University of Mumbai and accredited by NAAC with A grade. The aim of the college is to equip the students with knowledge and skills of their chosen vocation and inculcate values to provide them opportunities for all round growth and prepare them for life.
The objective of the institute is to equip the students with advanced knowledge and skills in their chosen vocation and to provide value-based education and opportunities to the students to help them to face challenges in life. They strive to nurture a scientific attitude, temperament and culture among the students and to stand for academic excellence and education of the whole person beyond the curriculum, within a framework of ethical, disciplined, caring teaching that goes back thousands of years in India.
